Максим Фомичёв-Замилов | Поэзия и проза

Today I faced myself
Through the mirrors in your eyes.

Today I felt myself
Through the warmth of your hands.

Today I found meaning,
Which eluded me yesterday.

Today is here to stay.

Tomorrow will turn into today
When I open my eyes in the morning.

Yesterday is a shadow that follows me.

Every day I am trying to outrun this shadow,
And like a planet on its celestial course
I collide with reality.

I often feel crushed and drowning,
But you rescue me as you always do.
You pull me from the abyss of yesterday
And Into the clean slate of today.

Your performance is grandiose.
Your sacrifice is not without merit.
You need me today
As much as I needed you yesterday.

Together we float into the future,
Slowly making our way
Through this shapeless molasses.
Our love is the rope that binds us to sanity.

I fear that I am your anchor.
You laugh at me.
Every ship needs an anchor you say.
I am glad to be yours.
Today.
Tomorrow.
And forever.

I bravely leap into the world
But I am no longer afraid.
I know that I am still tied to you
And you will always pull me out
From the deepest depths of my mind.
Today.
Tomorrow.
And forever.

Until the death cuts this umbilical cord.
When it does
I would have fulfilled my purpose,
Loving you to the last breath.

I hope you can forgive me.
I am your weight.
I shall weigh heavily upon you.
Today.
Tomorrow.
And forever.
For I am your crush.
