Максим Фомичёв-Замилов | Поэзия и проза

Through the gills of a shark,
I’ll breathe in deep blue sea.
Where the waters are dark
And the waves sing for me.

Through the wings of an eagle,
I’ll embrace bright blue sky.
Where the winds cry with seagulls,
And the clouds soar high.

Through the roots of an oak,
I’ll drink Earth’s soothing milk,
Where sand’s white as chalk,
And the grass’ smooth as silk.

Through your heart and your eyes
I’ll drink love’s pain and joy,
You’re my crimson sunrise,
You’re my Helen of Troy!

Let your strawberry lips
Teach the meaning of love!
Through your hair, sunlight drips,
It is never enough.

Through your heart and your eyes
I’ll drink love’s pain and joy,
You’re my crimson sunrise,
You’re my Helen of Troy!
