Максим Фомичёв-Замилов | Поэзия и проза

The road to forever is measured in steps.
The way to forever is paved with tears.
The distance to forever is counted in miles
and in heartbeats.

Will I love you forever?
Will you love me forever?
Will our feelings exist
when we are long gone and forgotten?

These are the questions I keep asking.
The sun replies with a smile.
The rain laughs in my face.
The wind ignores me altogether
but keeps turning pages of my life.

Deep down I know the answer.
Our love is forever!
Our feelings are forever!
You and I are forever!
We shall exist
for as long as these words
are committed to paper
and there is someone
to read them.

As long as there is someone
to read my poems,
and there is someone
to marvel at your paintings
we shall exist.

Even if it is
an alien archeologist
examining our ashes
in the planetary sarcophagus
that we call Earth.

Your warmth is forever!
Your caress if forever!
Our vibrations are forever!
We are petroglyphs
in the cave of subconsciousness.
